A board-certified hand surgeon and general orthopedist, Dr. Timothy LeeBurton maintains a professional interest in upper-extremity disorders involving the wrist, shoulder, hand, and elbow.

His decision to pursue a career in medicine reflects his commitment toward helping people regain the physical ability to engage in everyday routines and to meet job requirements.

He is a military veteran whose interest in medicine began after joining the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman out of high school.  After spending five years active duty as an enlisted service member during the first Desert Storm, he received his medical degree, and joined the Naval Officer Reserves for another five years.

A published author, he has written the books Going to the Hospital, My Favorite Fan, I Can Be a Doctor, The Big Deal, and I Can Be a Nurse. 

Prior to joining the Memorial Medical Group, Dr. Leeburton worked at Specialty Orthopedics in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
