Memorial Hospital Shiloh Auxiliary Chair Don Feldott Continues to Serve

After serving 24 years in the Air Force and retiring as Chief Master Sergeant, Don Feldott is accustomed to serving others.

Feldott started volunteering at Memorial Hospital Shiloh when it first opened in 2015. As a Memorial Hospital Auxilian, he has worked in every role there is and is willing to fill in whenever needed. Feldott has been the Auxiliary chair at Memorial Hospital Shiloh for the past two years. This requires him to keep a roster and duty schedule of all volunteers, pass on information to the volunteers from the Auxiliary director, and report Memorial Hospital Shiloh news and updates at monthly Auxiliary board meetings.

He encourages others to volunteer at Memorial. “It has been very rewarding for me, and I enjoy the interacting with patients and employees,” Feldott said. Feldott also serves as treasurer and board member for the St. Louis Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America and makes weekly visits with an Alzheimer’s patient. He also stays busy with his pet llama and alpaca, which attract visitors to his home to take pictures.
